D&T Pheasants is located in central Illinois on the Foster Farm, which Tom Foster has been farming his whole life. In 2017, Tom decided it was time to retire from Jeldwin, where he had been employed for over 20 years, and was happy to continue farming. After a few months, his late wife, Debbie, told him to get a hobby and coincidentally, a neighbor was looking to offload pheasant pen equipment. It was a match made in heaven. Tom and Debbie raised 500 pheasants their first year and quickly D&T Pheasants grew to include quail and an expanded operation building out into the large pasture and converting a portion of the barn to indoor space for the birds. Tom now raises over 3,500 birds while still farming.
